I hope your summer has been wonderful. While we’ve enjoyed our own family time, it’s getting a little too quiet around here—and we can’t wait to welcome you and our students back to campus!
The start of a new school year always brings a fresh sense of possibility. It’s a time for new beginnings, growth, and discovery. Whether it’s a child’s very first day of TK, a move to a new grade, or the last year before heading to middle school, this season comes with a mix of excitement and a few first-day jitters.
Our teachers feel it too. Many are already in their classrooms, setting up welcoming spaces for their new class families. This summer, several also attended professional development sessions, learning new strategies and refining their teaching practices. We are fortunate to have such teachers who value learning and growing right alongside their students.
One of the things that makes Lu Sutton so special is our strong sense of community. Each of you plays an important role in helping our school continue to grow and flourish. We remain dedicated to providing a safe, supportive learning environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.
I encourage you to get involved - whether it’s through our PTA, ELAC, or the many other opportunities to lend a hand. I can promise you that you have skills and talents that will make a difference for our students and our school.
📌 IMPORTANT: Data Confirmation = Teacher Assignment Ticket
Before the school year begins, we must verify all student information through your Aeries Parent Portal. This is required each year.
✅ This year, you will need to complete Data Confirmation to receive your child’s teacher assignment at our Ice Cream Social on August 20th.
Complete the following for each child:
- Review and update emergency contact information
- Complete the Income Survey
- Complete the Parent/Guardian Education Level
- Click Finish and Submit — don’t skip this step! You will see a confirmation message when all steps are complete. This confirmation is what you will show to receive your teacher assignment.
